Recruitment Materials
Please bring a sufficient supply of recruitment materials, as no printing facilities are available on site.
Employers can ship packages to be delivered the day before the Job Fair only. No shipment or deliveries will be accepted at the Hamilton Convention Centre or to the premises prior to March 4, 2024. Any packages that arrive to the Hamilton Convention Centre prior to this date will risk rejection.

Return shipments are the responsibility of the exhibitor. No materials may remain at the facility beyond 4:30 p.m. on the day of the fair.
Audio-Visual Equipment
Companies registered for this fair are responsible for bringing their own audio-visual equipment.
Electrical
Exhibitors who require electricity in their booths are required to make advance arrangements with SoundBox. Electrical services including hard-wired connections, electrical outlets, rental lighting and installation of electrical fixtures are also available to book here soundboxpro.com/electrical with code connect2jobs early bird rates apply to all orders booked by February 28th. After that, the price will increase by 25%.
Wifi
The Hamilton Convention Centre offers a complimentary wi-fi service for all guests, exhibitors will be provided the guest login at registration on the reverse side of your employer name badge.
Booth Signage and Name badges
We will provide each representative with a lanyard and exhibitor identification badge that will be printed on site at the Employer Registration counter. Badges will be personalized with the representative name and company. All employers must wear their identification badge while at the fair. Badges must be picked up during move in on March 5, 2024 between 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m at the Employer Registration counter in the foyer on the third floor. Attendees will also have badges that employers can scan if they opt in to get a scanner for lead retreivals.
Lead Retrieval/Scanners
Getting your leads is even simpler. Just drop off the unit at the end of the show and your leads will be online to you within hours of show close. Get the mobile scanning app or mini scanner to track attendance at your booth. Click here for more details. Scanners must be picked up during move in on March 5, 2024 between 8:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m at the Employer Registration counter, in the foyer on the third floor.
Booth Set-Up and Hours
We strongly recommend employers set up their booth the day before the event if possible. Staff will be available to assist you on Monday, March 4, 2024 between 4:30 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. as well as on Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 8:00 a.m. – 9:45 a.m.
Note: The loading dock doors will close promptly at 9:30 a.m. on the day of the fair. Please plan accordingly.
Loading Instructions
King Street
Vehicles may move in/out via the side doors on King Street. Please let show management know if you choose to move in via King Street.
Summers Lane
Small materials may be moved in via the large brown metal doors located on Summers Lane. Please don’t use glass doors.
Loading Docks
Large displays please use the loading dock located at: 10 MacNab Street South Hamilton ON. You will have 15 minutes for unloading in this area. We will have volunteers and dollies ready to help unload your car and bring your packages to your booth. Please have all packages clearly marked with your company name and booth number.
There are 4 loading bays, accommodating 3 mid-size trucks and one cube van.
Elevator Information
Access to Chedoke Room (third floor) for move-in/move-out is via a freight elevator. The dimensions are: 12’ wide x 10’ high x 26’ long with a 20,000 lb capacity.
Parking
The Hamilton Convention Centre by Carmen’s is attached to a Municipal underground parking garage with 600 spots available for your convenience. Parking rates are set by the City of Hamilton. Please contact the Hamilton Municipal Parking System Office for rates.
Refreshments and Lunch
Breakfast will be provided between 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. Lunch will be available between 11:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. in the employee lounge. Representatives must show their lanyard to access the employer lounge. Available for up to 4 representatives per organization.
Accommodation Information
For employers travelling from out of town who wish to stay in the Hamilton area, please refer to our list of nearby hotels. While Connect to Careers does not endorse a particular establishment, we have negotiated an accommodation rate at the Sheraton Hotel for our employer partners if booked prior to February 21, 2024.

Other Promotional Opportunities
Become a featured employer on our site.
Your organization’s ad and/or logo will rotate on the Connect to Careers homepage and link back to your organization’s career page or main site.
The cost to become a featured employer is $100 (CAD) plus HST. Your ad/logo will remain on the Connect to Careers site for a few months following the event.

Employer Registration Terms and Conditions
January 2023
The following terms and conditions apply to employers registering for the Connect to Careers Job Fair (March 5, 2024), a partnership between McMaster University, Mohawk College, Redeemer University and Workforce Planning Hamilton.
- Attendance at the Fair is restricted to organizations representing the recruiting needs of the participating organization; promotion of services and/or products for any other purpose is not permitted.
- The Connect to Careers Committee reserves the right to decline any organization’s participation in recruitment events. The rationale may include start-up costs, franchise (self-employment) opportunities, illegal compensation structures, human rights or safety concerns, student complaints and overdue accounts.
- An organization with an outstanding invoice will not be allowed to register for a future fair until full payment is received for past and current events.
- Fair registration will only be confirmed upon receipt of payment.
Third-Party and Temp Agency Registration
Third-party recruiters may attend the Fair under their own corporate identity only if they are recruiting for their own organization. No other client opportunities may be advertised at the Fair.
Online talent recruiters or job posting services are eligible to participate for promotional purposes. Attendance at Connect to Careers as an exhibitor is restricted to organizations representing the recruiting needs of their specific participating organization.
Professional Associations Registration
Professional associations representing career areas or designations may attend the Fair, provided they are currently recruiting for positions within their organization.
Severe Weather
The Connect to Careers Committee reserves the right to cancel the Fair based on severe weather conditions that would result in the closure of the partner institutions’ main campuses: McMaster University, Mohawk College, Redeemer University and Workforce Planning Hamilton.
Neither a refund nor a compensatory registration at an upcoming Fair will be issued if the Fair is in operation and an exhibitor is unable to attend due to severe weather in their own geographical region.
Cancellation and Refunds
Refund and cancellation requests must be sent via email to waterm3@mcmaster.ca; such requests are subject to charges based on the time of cancellation.
- Registrations cancelled before February 1, 2024, will receive a full refund.
- Registrations cancelled before February 20, 2024, will receive a 50% refund.
- Any cancellations after February 20, 2024, will not be eligible for a refund.
- No refunds will be issued for an organization’s failure to attend the event.
- No subletting of space at the Fair is permitted.
